Tackling personal demons seems to be the daily routine in Sean’s working life. Pathologically fearful of finances, he sloughed through the recent economic crisis working on digital briefs about credit cards, home loans and mortgages for Bank of America. Overwhelmed at the thought of replacing his 1991 diesel Golf, he learned to love the minivan (and the Dodge Viper), while dreaming up off-road Jeep adventures during the half hour bicycle commute he does 10.3 months of the year. He went viral using pandemics and infectious diseases for Purell. His own kids’ mischief inspired him to imaginative mayhem for Kraft Dinner. Despite his fear of spandex and gym mirrors, he invented an exercise regimen to help sell ice cream (though extreme treadmill Sherpacize has yet to take root in the insular world of personal trainers). Along the way, he has taken occasional comfort in international awards. But he rocks himself to sleep every night, fearing what fresh personal hell the morning’s brief will drag him through. And the weird thing is, is how much fun he has doing it.
